Busy

I've been busy the last week--I'm working on my website, which is why posting might be light for a while here.  It's taking me a long time, but it'll all be worth it in the end... just be patient with me.

But while I'm here, I want to thank all of you for reading my blog, and supporting me with my dream.  I love photography, but sometimes it's so hard to keep positive and keep trying as my business is just beginning and things are really overwhelming.  So, thank you for viewing my blog and being my friend.

Here are some photos from last April at the temple in Salt Lake.  Though the sun's been shining, I'm certainly itching for spring and flowers.

I know I'm relatively new to the portrait scene, but if you'd like bridals, engagements or any type of portraits, really, I'm your woman!  I loved this session, and I'd love to do more.

Tawny & Adam - Bridals/Groomals

These two were fantastic to photograph!  It was freezing this day, but they (especially Tawny) were troopers.  There were a lot of really great ones, so I'm going to split this session in two.

This is my cousin's sweet little baby. He has SUCH a cute smile... when you can coax it out of him.  There were a lot of really great ones with this shoot, so I'm going to split it in two parts.

Miriam - Bridals Part II

These are a continuation of Miriam's bridals from here.

I think my favorite thing about shooting with Miriam is that she always shows up to the shoot, ready to be photographed.  She doesn't expect me to come up with all the ideas; it's a give and take sort of thing.  I think, as a photographer, it's so important that when clients come to a session, they have some sort of idea of what they'd like to get from the shoot.  I've had a good range of shoots--great shoots to not so great shoots--and the difference is generally the client's willingness to try different things and having a good idea of what, ultimately, they'd like from the session.

In other words, come to the session, ready to be photographed.  Trust that I'll make you look good.  Be open to different things & be flexible to different ideas.  Most of all, have fun, don't be nervous, and be willing to be photographed... even in a blizzard.
